Royston Coronavirus Response Group receives Lottery Funding

Your local housing associations came together with other local groups to form the Royston Coronavirus Response Group.

The Group has been awarded money by the National Lottery to help the most vulnerable Royston residents.

Food parcels will be delivered, starting this week, and the operation is based at the Community Hub on Roystonhill.

A massive thanks to Tenant Support Officer, Geraldine Burgess, of the Simon Community, who is co-ordinating activity and to volunteers who are delivering food parcels.

Thanks to Spire View HA who dealt with the lottery application on behalf of the Group and to Councillor Allan Casey, who has been very active in the Group.

Royston is resilient, with great community spirit. Residents will rally round and support family, friends and neighbours. Together we will get through this.
